Neutral Observers – We Are!

August 20121

Welcome to my latest Mind-Meander, dear Reader :-))

Reality check: as fluttering seeds landing here and there, our thoughts are not ‘us’, and they generally remain ‘unedited’.

So, neutral observation of what we see, what we hear, what we feel, what we do as a result – and why we feel, think and do as we do – is crucial to any objective assessment of what shapes the everyday emotional landscape of our day-to-day.

Who are we, really, beyond or through the labels we do our best to project, those that separate us from others?

Who are we, really, beyond the labels we’ve accepted from others, those that make us feel less than interesting to be with, less than worthy of trust, love, affection or respect?

Neutral Observers? Yes, We Are!

Brisbane – Australia      Dear reader, I’m so glad you’re here, ready to read and reflect, ready, too, to share your thoughts on this new ‘mind-meander’. As I sit, fingertips on the keyboard in this, the moment underfoot, I have no idea why the current ‘breeze blown infiltration of thoughts seems to be about

Who Gave Us ‘That’ Life?!?

Cont’d – from Neutral Observers Cast a Light on Purpose   We observe the choices we make as we dig our innate ‘purpose’ out of the muck. July 2021 Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the iconic writer and philosopher explained over 200 years ago that, ‘In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a

Neutral Observers Cast a Light on Purpose

Cont’d from Neutral Observers? Yes, We Are! Brisbane – Australia – May 2021   When it comes to one’s owns ‘purpose’, for the most part, we think about it in terms of doing our job as consciously as possible. After all, that job is the means by which we earn the money needed to make

Squarely in the Saddle, We Sit

Conclusion of Who Gave Us ‘That’ Life?!?   July 2021   Eventually, once our neutral introspection is underway, slowly, with more of the true grit and heart-based determination that has reaped for us the positive aspects of our lives, we move towards our end game. A purpose-full life. A life well worth living. Instead of

‘Ew’ Fashion – A touchy subject 😉

Brené Brown, an academic and public speaker of international renown, has spent several decades studying the topics of vulnerability, shame, courage, and empathy. According to her, ‘Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.’ Ultimately, it’s up to us. It’s up to

Our Hearts Go To Our Beloved Celebrities … And Back To Us

Very happy to see you back here, dear Reader 🙂 Wealth and fame, ever-increasing comfort, space and ‘freedom’ to come and go as we please … none are shields against insecurities, stress and depression. Personal freedom and peace can only come from within. We know it’s true. For those who have made it to a

Then As Now, Where Are We When It’s happening?

August 2021 Inspired by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave (referenced in Happy Is As Happy Thinks), here is an idea for an allegory one might write well into in the 21st century. It would feature selected modern humans somehow permanently attached to their state-of-the-art, all senses tracking, standalone VR headsets. The ultimate intuitive, computer-generated,

Allure Or a Lure? To have it – or to be it, that is the question.

Brisbane – Australia – September 2021   Interpreted, of course, through the subjective lens of the Beholder, ‘allure’ is achieved by an interesting, original, attractive dress sense. That said, many will argue that fashion is about self-expression. I’ll risk suggesting, here, that fashion is the expression of a vision. It’s the 3-D realisation of entrepreneurs,

What Are We Able We Do, Really?

My darling partner, Myahr, was right when she said that this mind-meander reads like a grab-bag of the ills of modern society. That’s exactly how it was intended. And, as you are reading through it, dear Reader, I would like to imagine you making a mental checklist of all the positives that you perceive as

Warriors We Are

Courage comes from our willingness to trust and be humble little blind mice in a maze. No idea in which direction lie the coveted morsels of cheese. No idea behind which are hidden the punishing electrical pulses.
