Question
of the Week
"I am in Ireland, married with a growing interest in
dressing in ladies clothes, especially lingerie & hosiery.
My wife is aware but cannot understand or look at me wearing.
She thinks it is weird & not common, although I think it
is not that bad. From your experience how frequent is my
position?" (From: Hughie) |

Recently in Spokane, Washington, a
transgender woman was jailed for failure to pay child support.
While this might not seem unjust at first, a closer look
reveals that her child support amount was set by an apparently
transphobic judge to an amount she could never hope to pay,
especially when she lost her job after being outed at work.
Kim Stankovich, a caring parent, tells her story,
including the support she received from the feminist group
"Stop the Clock".

Also speaking with us from Spokane is Kim's good
friend Chrissa, who has a few things to say about the local
Spokane trans community. She identifies lack of support for
young trans people as one of the leading problems her
community faces, and also cautions against exploitation
originating on web sites.

Once again we visit with the non-trans author of a
book about a novel about a transgender person. This time, the
novelist is Australian C.C. Saint-Clair, who is well
known for her strong lesbian romance novels 'for the thinking
woman'. Recently, she has become fascinated with
female-to-male transsexualism, and her latest work, titled
Morgan in the Mirror, deals with just such a character.
It has been well received in FTM circles, and we suspect there
may be more to CC's interest than meets the eye!
